Arrive to Tashkent

Early Breakfast at the hotel

Day 2 (17.08.2017) Thursday
Tashkent-Samarkand.
06:30 – After having yearly breakfast, transfer to the train station
08:00 – Departure to Samarkand
10:10 – Arrival. CSS of Samarkand: Gur Emir Mausoleum – a burial vault of Timurids dynasty (14 -15c.c),
Registan square with three madrassah: Madrassah of Ulugbek(15th), Madrassah Sherdor and Madrassah
Tilla Kori(15-17c.c);
13:00 –Lunch at local restaurant.
14:00 – Continuing CSS of Samarkand: Bibi Khanim Mosque(15c) – the biggest medieval building in the city;
Carpet factory, Visiting oriental bazaar - Siab where you can make shopping and see ancient colorful market
19:30 – Dinner at local family house.
After dinner transfer to the hotel.

Day 3 (18.08.2017) Friday
Samarkand–Urgut – Shahrisabz - Samarkand
08:00 - Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to Urgut (by sedans) town near Samarkand. Urgut is a small town, 40 min drive south of Samarkand.
Urgut is really a town of craftsmen. There live hereditary blacksmiths, potters and embroiderers. On Sundays
at this bazaar you can buy modern and traditional Urgut embroideries, silver jewelry with carnelians, tapestries
and carpets, traditional clothes, handmade silk and cotton textiles, and many other exotic things. There are
people and stands full of stuff everywhere. For anyone who enjoys shopping, it is like being a kid in a candy
store. The bazaar hosts a variety of things from food items, personal items, and clothes that most bazaars
carry, to the antique on new suzanis, pillowcases, traditional atlas fabric and Kelin (new bride) outfits.
You can get worry beads, men's traditional hats called Dopas and a wide range of other items.
After having lunch drive to Shahrisabz (by sedans)
Visit Ak-Saray (the white palace), the kok gumbaz Mosque and mausoleums.
Upon arrival transfer to the hotel

Bukhara

Bukhara-Khiva

12:00 – Drive to Khiva (480 km.).The Great Silk Road once routed through Bukhara and Khiva ran
through the Kyzyl-Kum Desert, as the present road does nowadays. Stop en-route to enjoy views
of Amudarya River and the desert. Arrive in Khiva. Check in.
Dinner at local restaurant with folk show.
Overnight in Khiva.
Day 6 (21.08.2017) Monday
Khiva – Nukus
09:00 – Breakfast at the hotel

Day 7 (22.08.2017)Tuesday
Nukus- Muynak-Nukus
08:00 – Yearly breakfast at the hotel
09:00 – Drive to former fishermen’s town Muynak (220 km, 3 h.), which used to be situated on the shores
of Aral Sea. On the way stop at archaeological complex Mizdakhan. In Muynak have a look at a former
port with abandoned ships in the sand – “Cemetery of ships”. Then visit Local History Museum with art
exhibits of the Aral Sea history. In the afternoon return to Nukus.
Lunch upon arrival
After lunch we start excursion including: Savitsky Karakalpakstan Art Museum. The museum hosts the
world's second largest collection of Russian avant-garde art and exposition of Karakalpak applied arts
items. Have a short drive around center of Nukus: see statue of Karakalpak poet Berdakh, Nukus City Hall,
and Drama Theatre.

Day 8 (23.08.2017) Wednesday
Nukus-Tashkent (HY12 09:35 flight to Tashkent)

07:00 Transfer to the airport for flight Nukus-Tashkent (according the 2017 schedule)
11:10 Upon arrival Transfer to the Beldersay valley to the merge of Beldersay and Mramornaya rivers
(75 km, 2 h). This is the start point of our hiking (1550 m above the sea level). Having said goodbye
to our driver and left for a back attributes of a civilization we will start to walk up along the left bank of the
Mramornaya River. After 1,5 hour of quite pleasant walking we will reach a small birch grove, pictorially
located on the bank of the mountain river. Short rest and we start 45 minutes long ascent to Urta-Kumbel
Pass (1820 m above sea level). Ascent usually takes 45 minutes and we find ourselves in the saddle of the
pass. What a great view! We can see the valley of Beldersay River, Chet-Kumbel Pass and the way, which
leads to it.
After picnic we will continue our walking and go up to the saddle of the Chet-Kumbel Pass (1850 m).
The panoramic view from the pass allows us to see the Valley of Nurekata River and the top of Big Chimgan
(3309 m). Having admired by the view we will start to go down to the Beldesay cable car station and the
road where our minibus will be waiting for us (1550 m).

Day 9 (24.08.2017) Thursday
Tashkent-Bishkek (HY779 Departure at 06:15)
04:00 Transfer to the international airport for flight to Bishkek.
Your guide will pick you up at Manas International Airport at 8:30 a.m. and accompany you to the capital city
of Kyrgyzstan, just a 30-minute drive from the airport. This entire day is dedicated to a guided tour of Bishkek.
It includes visiting Pobeda Square (Victory Square), Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Central Ala-Too Square,
the National Arts Museum, National Philharmonic, and many others places of interest.

Transfer to Issyk Kul - lake.
On the way: visit Burana Tower - architectural monument of the XI c.

Day 11 (26.08.2017) Saturday
Cholpon-Ata – Grigorievskoe gorge – Cholpon Ata (150 km)

Transfer to Gigorievskoe gorge.
On the way: visit of ancient stone inscriptions dated to 8 century B.C.
Lunch -time at the hotel. Free time.

Day 12(27.08.2017) Sunday
Cholpon-Ata –Karakol (150 km)
Breakfast at the hotel
Drive along Isik-Kul lake - Karakol (130 km).
Excursion to Rock – Drawings in Cholpon-Ata city
On the way – visit to majestic monument and museum of Przhevalskiy famous Russian traveler and scientist,
excursion of Karakol - visiting church of Troitsk and mosque of Dungan (1910 year), bazaar in Karakol.
Transfer to Dzhety-Oguz gorge (40km). translated as “seven oxen”. High red rocks form at the entrance
into the gorge. The most beautiful is the rock over the left bank of the river called “The Broken Heart”.
Dzhety Oguz gorge thundering waterfalls, fantastic rocks, coniferous forests, subalpine meadows. Picnic.
Transfer Dzhety-Oguz –Karakol.
Overnight in Karakol.
Day 13 (28.08.2017) Monday
Karakol - Altin Arashan Valley (40 km)
Breakfast
Drive to Altin Arashan gorge (Nature walk + hot springs)- picnic lunch by travellers
Transfer back to Karakol
Dinner in Dungan or Uigur family.
Overnight in Karakol.
Day 14 (29.08.2017) Tuesday
Karakol- Bishkek(400km)
Breakfast
Drive along South shore of Issyk-Kul lake.
Visiting Barskoons waterfalls
After waterfalls we drive to the beautiful canyon “Skazka”
Visit an Eagle hunter’s family and felt show in Bokonbaev village
Transfer to Bishkek
Dinner in a local restaurant. You will have a professional folklore show.
